Foreign Travel Tax

This tax is applicable only on the tickets purchased in Pakistan for International. Travel and is charged at a fixed rate of Rs. 1500/-.

International Travel Charges

 Embarkation
The embarkation Fee for first class passengers is Rs. 400, for business executives Rs. 300 and for economy class passengers Rs. 200.

 Government Airport Tax
The Government Airport Tax for first class passengers is Rs. 400, for business executives Rs. 300 and for economy class passengers Rs, 200.

Passport & Visa

All foreigners coming to Pakistan need a valid passport. Tourists from the following countries do not need visa to enter Pakistan for the period specified as under.        
 v         Iceland, Maldives, Singapore, South Korea, Zambia and Mauritius, for 3months.
 
           
 v         Hong Kong, Nepal and Western Samoa, for 1 month. Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, for unlimited period. Landing permit/transit visa for 30 days shall be given at entry points/airports, by Pakistan Immigration, free of cost, to genuine tourists/ businessmen, if they

Health

 Functions at Airport

v   To administer Health management at airport.

v   To check and restore sanitation of the area within and around the Airport.

v   To provide First Aid round the clock (medical emergency coverage and in any disaster     situation).

v   To provide curative treatment to Federal Govt.  Employees functioning at Airport.

v   To check every international flight for yellow fever vaccination and other communicable     diseases.

v   To provide yellow fever and meningitis vaccination to passengers and all Hajj passengers     during Hajj season.

v  To provide all preventive measures for cleanliness of food & water etc. also checking of     VVIPS food & medical coverage to Excellencies.

Health counters are available in international arrival before immigration counters which are regularly managed during international flights.

CAA DMO is also available round the clock to meet any kind of medical emergency.

Currency

The basic unit of currency is the Rupee, which divides into 100 paisa.   
 v         Currency notes of 05, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 and 5000 rupees are in use.
 
           
 v         Coins of  01, 02 & 05 rupees are in circulation.

Duty Free Personal Allowance

(On any visit after stay abroad for less/ more then 07 Days)
           
 v         Personal wearing apparel.
           
 v         Toilet requisites and electric shaver in use.
           
 v         Medals, trophies & prizes bestowed upon a passenger.
           
 v         Electric Iron, Hair Dryer, Mobile Phone, wrist watch------- one each.
           
 v         Two hundred (200/-) cigarettes or fifty cigars.
           
 v         Push Cart toys etc of the child passenger.
           
 v         One Wheel chair for personal use.
           
 v         One Laptop, computer and accessories in use.


Duty Free Allowances

(On first visit in a year after stay abroad for more then 07 Days.)
           
 v         One Radio or one ordinary tap recorder.
           
 v         One VCP, VCR, VCD or DVD Player.
           
 v         One still and one video camera.
           
 v         Personal jewellery in reasonable quantity.
             v         Professional tools up to the value of US $ 500/-
             v         "Tabarrakat" up to US $ 100/-
             v         Further allowances of the value not exceeding US $ 500/-


Purchases from Duty Free Shop

(within 60 days arrival of the passenger)
             v         Duty free allowances of the aggregate up to US $ 500/-
             v         Allowances for Pakistani Passengers availing transfer of residence US $ 1000/-


Transfer of Residence Facilities/Allowances

(within (06) six days of arrival of the passenger)
             v         All allowances are mentioned at para A & B
             v         Old and used furniture, fixture, crockery, cutlery, kitch, utensils, rugs, carpets, house hold linen, beddings and other house hold goods generally used by a family during stay abroad.
             v         TV, Deep freezer, refrigerator, microwave oven, cooking range, washing machine and air conditioner ------------- one each.
             v         Professional tools and equipments of the value not exceeding to US $ 500/-
             v         Second hand or used medical equipment including electro-medical equipment, if in use of a Pakistani national who is a registered medical practitioner, recognized by Pakistan medical and dental council.
             v         Weapon of non-prohibited bore for the personnel of armed forces, customs, police or any other law enforcement agency
